It is the policy of City of Burlington/Link Transit to ensure that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and any other related non-discrimination Civil Rights laws and authorities.

REVIEW OF LINK TRANSIT TITLE VI PROGRAM 2023-2025

A public hearing is scheduled to hear testimony the updated Link Transit Title VI Program for Fiscal Years 2023 to 2025 which discusses the City of Burlington Department of Transportation/Link Transit Division process to ensure that “no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

A public hearing will be held before City Council on Tuesday, December 6. 2022 at Burlington Municipal Building, 425 S Lexington Ave, Burlington, NC 27215 at 6:00 PM.

We invite the public to comment on the proposed Title VI Program.
